About Us, Our Values, and Our Story

We Are Everybody is a Baltimore-based nonprofit transforming vacant homes into neighborhood technology centers that bridge the digital divide for youth, adults, and seniors in underserved communities. We renovate vacant houses into welcoming spaces where neighbors can access reliable internet, modern devices, and hands-on digital skills programs—free or low-cost—so every resident can learn, connect, and thrive.

Our work is rooted in dignity, local leadership, and opportunity. We started as neighbors who refused to let empty buildings and unmet needs define our blocks. Today we partner with residents, community groups, and employers to deliver intergenerational learning, workforce readiness, and technology access that reflect the culture and priorities of each neighborhood.

We believe technology is a tool for belonging and advancement. By centering community voices, hiring locally, and measuring impact by people served—not projects completed—we create sustainable spaces that grow neighborhood capacity and open pathways to education and work. We welcome partners who share our commitment to equitable access and long-term community investment.

Questions we hear most — answered with heart

At We Are Everybody, we know you may have questions about our work, partnerships, and impact. Below are five clear, direct answers to help you understand how we transform vacant homes into community technology hubs and how you can join us.

We Are Everybody is a Baltimore-based nonprofit dedicated to turning vacant homes into neighborhood technology centers that bridge the digital divide. We provide access to devices, internet, training, and supportive programming for youth, adults, and seniors so communities can build skills, connect to opportunities, and thrive.

We serve residents of underserved neighborhoods across Baltimore City — including young people preparing for careers, adults looking for workforce-ready skills, and seniors seeking digital connection. Our work is neighborhood-centered: each site is embedded in the community it serves and designed with local residents’ needs in mind.

We combine community collaboration, thoughtful renovation, and targeted programming. First, we work with neighborhood leaders to select a site and plan uses; then we renovate the space for safety and accessibility, outfit it with computers and reliable internet, and launch training, tutoring, and workforce-readiness programs tailored to local needs.

There are many ways to partner: provide funding, donate equipment, offer pro-bono services, host volunteer trainings, or collaborate on workforce pathways and internships. Reach out to explore a customized partnership — we welcome foundations, businesses, schools, faith groups, and neighbors who want to amplify impact with us.

We track tangible outcomes like number of people served, digital literacy gains, job placements, and hours of training delivered, and we gather participant feedback to refine programs. We also focus on sustainable models — combining local stewardship, diverse funding, and workforce pipelines so each site can remain a long-term neighborhood asset.
